Most Famous Temples of Kerala
Kerala has numerous temples. They are not exactly famous for their majestic architecture or brilliant sculptures. They are purely places of worship. They attract the devotee, not the tourist. Kerala temples are also known for their strict adherence to the traditional dress code. Men are not allowed to enter the inner sanctum wearing stitched clothes. The dress code for women is comparatively relaxed. Also, Kerala temples do not permit the entry of non-Hindus.
Lord Krishna and Lord Ayyappa are the most favorite deities of Malayalis. They also worship the Goddess with equal devotion. Another deity who has a considerable number of temples dedicated to him is Lord Shiva.
