Thekkinkadu Maidan to host noiseless fireworks display in September 17, 2016

Thekkinkadu Maidan which plays host to the celebrated Thrissur Pooram festival will host another celebration on September 17. The noiseless digital fireworks display will mark the conclusion of the Onam celebrations in Thrissur. It is going to be organized by the district tourism promotion council (DTPC).

The noiseless fireworks display is free of the risks and health hazards associated with real fireworks.

Incidentally, Thrissur Pooram, which ensured that Thrissur has a place on the world tourism map is famous for its high decibel cracker display.
